Computer Perfection Play WarGames in “Able Archer” As Debut LP Hits Stores
The well-wishers and indie-pop wizards of Computer Perfection are back from hitting the stage at CMJ’s Music Marathon here in our own big apple with the first video from their new album, We Wish You Well On Your Way To Hell. The first track from the LP, “Able Archer” is already out on YouTube, featuring low-fi camera work reminiscent of fortuitous Polaroid accidents – or, as the tags on YouTube suggest, “near disasters.” These shots are interspersed with illustration work, geometry, architecture, and design all fitting of the band’s name; and 8-bit style computer sequences, heavily referencing the 80’s cult film WarGames.
Splintering from Detroit indie pop mavens Pas/Cal, members Gene C, Bem, N. Burgundy, Stevers McFever, and Aaron Q have brought a new sound to the new album, which highlights their numerous influences. This psychedelic, electro-pop trip is out now on Le Grand Magistery, and after you’ve checked out “Able Archer” and the originally-released MP3, “Silence Is A Shadow’s Dream,” you can pick it up at the buy links below.
