Brazilian Artists Come Alive to Save the Rainforests

April 21, 2014 Artist News, Featured News No Comments

Rainforest Alliance-logoThe Rainforest Alliance, an international non-profit focused on Rainforest conservation, has joined up with multiple Brazilian artists to create an interactive music film project, The Floresta da Tijuca Sessions, to raise global awareness about the rainforests. The project will feature an amazing selection of Brazilian artists, including music by Grammy award-winning Caetano Veloso and Lenine, as well as Criolo, Emicida, Pretinho da Serrinha and Sistah Mo Respect. Supermodel and Rainforest Alliance board member Gisele Bündchen lends her voice to the project as narrator.

I’m Alive” — both film and song — was composed and recorded inside the Tijuca Forest in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, giving it an authentic feel for the beauty of the rainforest. The song features excerpts from Caetano Veloso’s classic Nine Out of Ten and original material by all the featured artists inspired by the relationship we have with nature and global awareness about the rainforest.

The single will be released tomorrow, on Earth Day, so make sure to check it out and do your part to raise awareness for those breathtaking and treasured Brazilian rainforests.

Fantástico.
