Diet Cig Really ARE Good at This

Diet Cig Really ARE Good at This

The talk of the town has rightly surrounded Diet Cig and their debut album Swear I’m Good At This. Available for pre-order now and on sale April 7th through Frenchkiss Records, this record is guaranteed to draw the good, the punk, and the misunderstood.

Tummy Ache,” the first single off the album, already combats the relatable struggle to fit in alongside a battle of feminine expectations. Diet Cig note “‘Tummy Ache‘ is a big old I FEEL YA to all the femme folks creating space for themselves in a world that wants to keep us quiet.”

If there is anything we can take away from the single, it’s that Diet Cig will not be making its debut quietly. Produced and engineered by Christopher Daly, this album is jam-packed with anti-apologetic lyrics that are anything but tainted. The duo already performed a whopping twelve times at SXSW last year and has no plans of slowing down in 2017. They’ll be back in Austin this year before kicking off their nationwide tour on April 5th in New Haven, CT to support Swear I’m Good At This.

The band, composed of singer and guitarist Alex Luciano and drummer Noah Bowman, began with a bold interruption when Luciano requested a lighter from Bowman during his set with another group. Apparently this foreshadowing could not be ignored as the two take on the industry in a similarly disruptive fashion.

Diet Cig is an incredible force to be reckoned with and we can’t wait to see the impact that Swear I’m Good At This will create this spring.
