August 9, 2013 Freeloader Friday No Comments

v v brown - apple singleWe’ve got lots to share this week for Freeloader Friday, including exclusive track premieres, free downloads, music videos and full album previews you won’t want to miss. So pace yourself this weekend and give each of these a listen when in need of some new music to match your day-or-nighttime activity.

Opening the selection this week is the exquisite V V Brown, who after releasing the single”Samson” from her upcoming album comes with a second preview, just as enticing as the first. Fire Records spoil us with not one, but two track streams from culture-shocked Surf City and “loud and intense” Bailterspace, respectively. Fun fact: both these bands are originally from New Zealand! Then, while Gold Panda was getting their track “Community” remixed by the amazing Fort Romeau, Cage The Gods put together a free gift for you in the form of a digital download of their track “Bruce Willis” via their Facebook page. You know you want to hear what that track sounds like.

Get ready to be spoiled on the music video front. First up is the aesthetically stunning video for “Somebody Who” by Au Revoir Simone, who played an incredible show at The Standard in NYC on Wednesday night with music from their upcoming album Move in Spectrums. In addition, The Sufis take us back to the ’90s with their awesome video for “No Expression,” and Sammy Hagar teams up with buddies Joe Satriani and Kid Rock in “Knockdown Dragout,” which will inject you with infectious enthuasiam no matter where you are.

Closing our week are three full album streams to take advantage of before they expire. With Modern Life is War, Eli Mardock and Individual Totem, we’ve got something for ever taste. Warning: we take no responsibility for the provocative banners you may or may not see on Mishka’s website when listening to Kyria 13
