Freeloader Friday: Fuck Buttons, Kenneth Bager, Scott & Charlene’s Wedding, The Sufis, Deltron 3030, The Black Angels, ASG and Von Haze

July 12, 2013 Freeloader Friday No Comments

After a short week and long 4th of July weekend, we all can agree that it was hard to go back to work on Monday. Hell, it might have been hard even if you didn’t have a long weekend. Whatever your struggle, you’ve made it to Friday which means we have some awesome Freeloader Friday suggestions for you to check out.

First, we have a full album stream from Fuck Buttons, which is particularly awesome because it’s out a full two weeks before the release of the album. You can also find a mixtape of Cafe Mambo, Ibiza, as compiled by Kenneth Bager, which was used at the launch party of this “it” club and features many famous DJs.

The Pop-Indie project Scott and Charlene’s Wedding gives you a small taste for the type of music on the upcoming album due later this month with “Lesbian Wife;” and we’re loving this new Psych-Pop song from The Sufis that’s fit for a jam session in the middle of your living room when no one’s home. If you want to get a little funkier with it, then definitely check out Deltron 3030 for something more reminiscent of old school Rap mixed with Rock.

Now, it wouldn’t be a complete Freeloader Friday if we didn’t give you some music videos to lead into your weekend. In our first clip, The Black Angels have turned into red devils as the video’s premiere takes you through a woman’s fever dream. ASG went for a black-and-white video for “Day’s Work” that will have you banging your head to the trudging bassline. We saved our raciest video for the end, with Von Haze turning up the heat and featuring a few cameos by some NYC nightlife icons.

As a bonus that’s not “officially” a Freeloader Friday selection, we just had to share the official album teaser for Metal legends Carcass‘ upcoming masterpiece: Surgical Steel. This music is so awesome, it’ll instantly make you a Metal fan, particularly if you weren’t one already.

Happy listening, happy Friday!
