June 28, 2013 Freeloader Friday No Comments

Polygon of EyesCongratulations on making it through another work week and getting to the best day there is… Friday! That means it’s time for you to kick back, relax, and allow us to bring you some free music for the upcoming weekend.

Our first group is Scorpion Child, whose “Polygon of Eyes” is currently iTunes Single of the Week. Get your free download before next Tuesday! Switching it up from the all-male group, we welcome the return of female trio Au Revoir Simone, whose brand new single “Somebody Who” has lush Dance music for the weekend.

Matt Berry‘s entrancing voice on “Devil Inside of Me” is the kind of song you can jam to while catching up on work or hanging around the house. Or, perhaps you’re in the mood for something a bit more hypnotic , like True Widow‘s ”Four Teeth.” Get your red energy dome out of the closet because we’re taking it back with Devo, whose track “Auto Modown” is currently on premiere at Rolling Stone. Although TRAAMS‘ full album isn’t out until next week, you can check out a preview with the track “Low” on Pitchfork. And you’ll love the powerful sound of Blackmore’s Night “The Moon is Shining.”

Still with us? Good, cause we’ve still got more.

There’s Bloc Party‘s latest single and music video “Ratchet,” with punchy lyrics and unique graphics, and Fuck Buttons‘ very red, very awesome music video for “The Red Wing.” Our last video of the week comes from the U.K.’s Luke Haines and includes dressed up animals and hand-drawn graphics.

Whatever you choose to do this weekend, we hope we’ve provided some tracks to fit your mood. Happy Friday!
