Humans and Robots Combine in the Power of Dance with Naytronix

July 19, 2012 Artist News No Comments

NaytronixNaytronix, an evil dance band cloned from the stem cells of multi-instrumentalist/producer Nate Brenner, takes futuristic music to a whole new level. The member of tUnE- yArDs & Beep! infuses fashionable grooves with found sounds and homemade instruments, as humans play side-by-side with robots, intertwining in a nefarious tango until it’s unclear where veins end and circuitry begins. And if you weren’t already intrigued, rumor has it that Brenner himself is half robot.

Dirty Glow, the band’s upcoming release, will appeal to all different types of music lovers. Brenner includes a spectrum of sound timbres — electric, synthetic, and acoustic — leading to a full and funky sound. He even features a horn section and other talent pulled from his Bay Area community.

“I was hoping to make an album that was more accessible than my previous music,” Brenner says.

And while the album is not out until October 9th on Plug Reasearch Music, it is intended to be a summertime record, played while hanging with friends outside. So get ready to blast some beats while cruising down the highway with the windows down through October and beyond… starting now.

Indeed, there’s no better time to get up and dance to the abrupt beats and horn section of Naytronix‘s first single “Robotic,” which you can check out immediately on SoundCloud.
