Who Needs an Olympic Gold Medal, When You’ve Got This Post-Metal Band?

August 13, 2012 Artist News No Comments

ISISWe’ve got some game-changing news, ISIS fans. Though the band may have broken up in 201o, you can experience ISIS in a new way with their release of Temporal, a collective of unreleased rarities, remixes and videos.

“It was fun and also very nostalgic collecting material for this release,” commented Aaron Harris. “I hear our catalogue differently now that I’m not living with these songs day to day. This is a special collection of outtakes, demos, unreleased tracks and videos; some of which I think we even forgot about.”

Out November 6th on Ipecac Recordings, treat yourself to the band’s entire discography, including songs spanning from their EP Mosquito Control to their final album Wavering Radiant.

And if you’re still feeling nostalgic for ISIS after listening to Temporal, don’t worry! These super star artists are still creating new music, just in different projects. Aaron Harris, Jeff Caxide, and Clifford Meyer, ex-members of ISIS, have partnered with Chino Moreno to form Palms, whose debut album will be out in early 2013; ex-member Mike Gallagher continues on with his solo project MGR; and Turner’s Old Man Gloom, formed by Aaron Turner, released No in late June.

When we think of ISIS, we remember that they challenged metal music, themselves, and their fans all while maintaining a common theme throughout each release. So go back in (not-too-distant) time with us and get excited for Temporal!
