Legendary soul singer Sly Stone teamed up with Jeff Beck and a slew of guest stars to create his first new album in close to 30 years. The Sly And The Family Stone frontman will release I’m Back! Family & Friends on August 16th via Cleopatra Records, and the album is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.
The 11-track album contains three new songs and re-recordings of classics like “(I Want To Take You) Higher”, “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)”, and “Everyday People”, with special guests Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, Heart frontwoman Ann Wilson, Bootsy Collins, and Ray Manzarek, former keyboardist for The Doors.
