The Orchard Adds Star-Studded “The Hero” to Sundance List


TheHeroOur team at Sundance doesn’t sleep and their efforts continue to prove fruitful. Late Sunday night, The Orchard took on all North American rights to Brett Haley’s acclaimed drama The Hero.

Lead by a strong performance from Sam ElliottThe Hero follows a washed up western film star named Lee Haden that has his life shaken by a very real off-screen enemy: a cancer diagnosis. The stark reminder of mortality pushes the actor into deep reflection as he reevaluates what matters in life.

The film also features supporting roles by Laura Prepon, Nick Offerman, Krysten Ritter and Katharine Ross. The Orchard plans on a wide release for The Hero this fall.
