Ane Brun Ushers Us Into the Changing of the Seasons

If you’re in the US, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve never heard of Norwegian songstress Ane Brun, but with her fifth album Changing of the Seasons coming out October 14th on Cheap Lullaby, you should soon.  The album, which is already out in Sweden, debuted at #2 on Swedish album charts, and was produced by Valgeir Sigurdsson (Björk, Sigur Ros, Múm).

Having grown up in Norway, Ane has lived in Stockholm, Sweden since 2000.  She’s already received a ton of recognition in Scandinavia since releasing her debut in 2003, Spending Time With Morgan, on her own Balloon Ranger/DetErMine Records.  What kind of recognition, you ask?  Well, are three Norwegian Spellemannsprisen Awards (Norway’s Grammy), and a nomination for “Best Norwegian Act” at the 2005 European MTV Music Awards enough for you?

They should be, but just in case they’re not, check out “The Treehouse Song” below!
