The Orchard has secured yet another film, acquiring the U.S. rights to Josh Lowell and Peter Mortimer‘s thrilling documentary The Dawn Wall, winner of the this year’s Audience Awards at SXSW in the Documentary Spotlight category. The film is scheduled to release this fall.
Produced by Red Bull Media House in association with Sender Films, the documentary shares the story of Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson who set out to climb the 3,000 foot Dawn Wall rock in Yosemite National Park in California. The duo spent six years intensively sketching their route before embarking on this life changing experience. In the documentary, you’ll see their journey of living on a sheer vertical cliff for weeks.
“After seven years of filming and another three years of post-production, we are proud that The Dawn Wall finally releases in theaters,” adds Josh Lowell. “Tommy took us on this wild climbing adventure with his partner Kevin, and their motivation and drive goes deeper than anything we’ve encountered in filmmaking.”
You don’t want to miss this truly incredible spectacle that will surely captivate the world!
