The Coolin’ System’s debut LP makes Nashville Scene’s 2011 Critics Poll

Soul/Jazz ensemble The Coolin’ System‘s eponymously-titled LP, released in March 2011 by the Nashville-based G.E.D. Soul Records made the Nashville Scene‘s 2011 Critics Poll as one of the best local LPs of 2011.

The Coolin’ System is in great company, as others on the list included Pistol Annies, The Features, JEFF The Brotherhood, Gillian Welch, and Vince Gill.

G.E.D. Soul is an Orchard-distributed label that trades in, as they say on their website, “Raw Soul From The Dirty South.”  Other G.E.D. Soul artists include DeRobert & The Half-Truths, SkyHi and Magic in Threes.
