2018 Juno Award Winners Revealed In Vancouver

2018 Juno Award Winners Revealed In VancouverThe 2018 Juno Awards wrapped this weekend, announcing the winners of Canada’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards. The Orchard’s labels and partners earned a number of awards for their musical prowess of the previous year. The diversity of our winners is unmatched in both genre and technique. From funky island World Music winner Kobo Town to Metal/Hard Music winners Anciients, it’s such a treat to enjoy and honor such a variety of talent.

A Tribe Called Red pulled in Group of the Year at this year’s Juno’s and for good reason. The insightful and powerful team use their voice to question what we know about politics, humanity and music. A huge sound, running rampant across North America, A Tribe Called Red merge their traditional culture with modern hip-hop and electronic production to create a blend fitting of their message. The group of artists and producers stand up for those who are mistreated and made to feel small by embracing change and reform in both music and society. Listen to the boom and feel the impact of the Pirates Blend artist below.

Comedy Dynamics superstar Ivan Decker has toured across North America making appearances at  festivals like Just for Laughs as well as Winnipeg and Halifax Comedy festivals for CBC Television and was even featured recently on CONAN. Ivan’s 2017 album I Wanted to Be a Dinosaur earned Comedy Album of the Year. Brighten your day by watching Decker’s hilarious CONAN performance below.
