Out Today by The Orchard: March 10th, 2017

Hello everyone and welcome to The Orchard’s new weekly segment Out Today by The Orchard. Every Friday we’ll go over our favorite new releases from music and film just in time for your weekend playlist and movie night plans. Without further ado, let’s get to it.

In a collaboration of video production teams all over the globe, BalconyTV films live performances with beautiful in nearly every scenic city you can think of. The BTV team is releasing their fifth compilation of stellar live performances with Live From The Outside, Vol. 5. featuring performances by Emily Kinney, O’dett and Little Brother Eli (which you can see below). If you dig live recording, check out the album here.

Next up is a new album from R. Stevie Moore and Jason Falkner called Make It Be. The duo is a dream duo for any indie rock nerd. Moore, a tape-recording lo-fi legend, and Falkner, a power pop musician known for his work alongside Beck, make a fuzzed out masterpiece with delightfully melancholy lyricism and weathered melodic chops. Stream the record here and if you dig it, give it a download.

Last up is a new film release for the kids called Time ToysIn true Stand by Me manor, four kids catch on to an organization’s plot to steal a secret weapon from the future. By way of time travel, the men span time and space to obtain the weapon, but return with something much different: toys. When the toys fall into the hands of these curious kids and the plan for future weapons is at stake, serious play time commences. Check out the trailer below and download the film here!
