Out Today by The Orchard: Jorja Smith, Lani Rose, Nicole Padilla

Don’t miss new music from UK singer-songwriter Jorja Smith, Cumbia singer and actress Nicole Padilla, and emerging singer-songwriter Lani Rose.

Jorja Smith – Be Right Back (FAMM)

Critically acclaimed UK singer-songwriter Jorja Smith is giving her fans eight special songs that she says “wouldn’t have made it [in an album]” with her project, Be Right Back. The body of work is the first since Jorja’s 2019 critically-acclaimed, Mercury Prize-nominated debut album, Lost & Found, for which she won her second BRIT Award for ‘British Female Solo Artist’ and earned herself a nomination for ‘Best New Artist’ at the GRAMMY Awards. Be Right Back features her most recent single, “Gone” as well as her stunning March release, “Addicted,” which both appear alongside six additional unheard tracks, including a feature from rising South London rapper, Shaybo on “Bussdown.”

Nicole Padilla – Tus Besos (Azteca Records, LLC)

Rising Cumbia singer and actress, Nicole Padilla, presents her brand new album Tus Besos via Azteca Records. Nicole puts her own fresh take on classic Latin hits such as “Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos” by adding her modern Electro-Cumbia sound. The ten-track album features songs like “Cariñito”, “Amárrame,” “Ganas,” “¡Ay Dios Mío!” and the original track written by Nicole herself, “Cuéntale.” You might also recognize an Electro-Cumbia adaptation of the hit song “Truth Hurts” by GRAMMY Award-winning artist Lizzo. Listen to Tus Besos today!

Lani Rose – To: Keep You From: Hurting Me (Terrible Records)

22-year-old St. Louis-born singer-songwriter Lani Rose has caught the eye of taste makers across the industry, such as Ones to Watch, Early Rising, and Lyrical Lemonade. Lani Rose, also known as Myles Anderson, creates singer-songwriter influenced smooth R&B, reminiscent of Frank Ocean or Dijon. To: Keep You From: Hurting Me is the singer’s second EP out now via Terrible Records, consisting of seven tracks including previously released singles “Overreacting” and “Paranoid” that discuss relationships and the intrusive thoughts and uncertainties that come with them.
