The ADISQ awards were announced on the first of November and recognized the top talents of Quebec, Canada. This year, The Orchard’s label partners and distributed artists took home 14 awards!
Earning two of the evening’s top awards, Marie-Pierre Arthur (Simone Records) received the accolade for Alternative Album of the Year as well as the Chritic’s Choice Album of the Year for Des feux pour voir. Marie-Pierre Arthur is no newcomer to the ADISQ awards having received nominations for the same Gala in the past as well as various Canadian music awards including Junos and the Polaris Prize. Nevertheless in her tenure in the industry, Marie-Pierre’s latest album Des feux pour voir is known to be her most creative and reflective to date.
In addition to the award winning artists, the ADISQ awards also honors industry successes. Our label partners Audiogram were named Record Company and Digital Promotions Team of the Year, while Bonsound was recognized for their excellent Press Relations and Simone Records was awarded Best Imprint.
