Billboard Music Awards Reveal 2021 Finalists

Billboard Music Awards Reveal 2021 Finalists

Billboard announced the finalists for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, set to take place on May 23 at 8 PM. ET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles hosted by Nick Jonas. Billboard’s finalists are based on key fan interaction and engagement, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement.

Rimas Entertainment artist Bad Bunny received seven nods at this year’s Billboard Music Awards across four categories. If you’re wondering how that math adds up, it’s because the Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and reggaeton star is up against himself in multiple categories. In 2020, Bad Bunny released three full-length albums, all of which are nominated this year for Top Latin Album. Bad Bunny also has two nominations in the Top Latin Song category for “Yo Perreo Sola” and “Dákiti,” a collaboration with Jhay Cortez. With seven total nominations, Bad Bunny leads with the most nominations for any Latin performer.

21st Century Pop Icons BTS received four nominations this year: Top Duo or Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Selling Song, and Top Social Artist. BTS’ hit song “Dynamite” spent 32 consecutive weeks on the US Hot 100 chart. “Dynamite” also broke the record for the most weeks at the top of the Billboard’s Digital Song Sales Chart with 18 consecutive weeks.

Congratulations to all The Orchard distributed artists and partners who received nominations this year! Tune into the live award show on NBC on May 23 at 8PM ET. You can find the full list of finalists here and The Orchard’s distributed finalists below.
