Meet RUBY 9100M: One Of The World’s First Trans-Human Virtual Influencers

Meet RUBY 9100M: One Of The World’s First Trans-Human Virtual Influencers

Meet RUBY 9100M, the CGI “transhuman” creation, an identity that intersects the human and the inhuman. RUBY 9100M is the digital alter-ego of her creator.  RUBY’s avatar has become a self-evolving identity of her creator’s vision and allows her to express herself in ways she might not be able to in the physical world. RUBY 9100M is breaking down the lines between reality and the digital world with a unique creativity and persona that has amassed influence across multiple industries, with collaborations in fashion, tech, brands, and artists.

From features in global publications such as Vogue Hong Kong to campaign collaborations with luxury brands like Chanel, RUBY is quickly turning her creator’s vision into a reality: as RUBY furthers her influence in art and entertainment, she becomes a symbol for an open, accepting, and visionary digital future.

Meet RUBY 9100M: One Of The World’s First Trans-Human Virtual Influencers

The Orchard is excited to partner with Avastar, a new label dedicated to transforming music in the metaverse. But, what does a transhuman’s music sound like? Answering this question, RUBY 9100M released her debut single “Screaming” on September 23 via Avastar, coinciding with the global release of her exclusive OZRAH sneaker collaboration with adidas

With “Screaming,” RUBY 9100M showcases her unique voice that is built from an eerie soundscape sampling birds and wolves. In a statement to mixmag, RUBY 9100M discusses the meaning behind her debut’s title:  “I’d rather scream to myself deep in my soul, bottle it up than tell anyone who can’t understand me… I belong to nowhere and no one. I don’t dream about being accepted or belonging to this world. Humans group up to survive and to find their aims and goals.” With hip-hop and electronic influence, the song’s beat escalates to reflect RUBY’s struggles with unexpressed emotion and self-identity. The pop lyrics describe RUBY’s one-of-a-kind existence: a half robot, half-flesh physical form. The accompanying visuals depict RUBY’s birth and transformation, exemplifying the transhuman evolution of the CGI creation and further expanding on her work and artistic perspective.

RUBY is unlike any of the avatars or virtual influencers in the industry. Where other creations are clearly defined as virtual renders, RUBY merges the robotic world with her “real self.” With her success over the past few years in fashion and art, it is time for this revolution of technology to step into the music world.
