From early favorites to rising artists, this week’s Out Today features music from artists both old and new. Check out what new music is out now from Spanish duo Delaporte, R&B favorite Mario, and Reggaeton star Arcángel.
Delaporte – Las Montañas (Mad Moon Music)
Sandra Delaporte and Sergio Salvi make up the Spanish and Italian electronic duo, Delaporte. Currently based in Madrid, Delaporte’s music is influenced by the pair’s strong background in Madrid’s Soul, Funk, Jazz, and R&B scene. The duo has been vastly gaining recognition, and earlier this year were selected as part of Spotify’s RADAR program. Their new album Las Montañas, out now via Mad Moon Music, features thirteen tracks exploring the sways of emotions throughout the process of overcoming. This album sees many collaborations, including Mexican singer and actress Ximena Sariñana (No Dirás), Freestyler Arkano (Rica Rica), the versatile Puto Chino Maricón (From Where You Come) or the Spanish revelation band of 2019, Gins (Bang Bang). Mario – Closer To Mars (New Citizen)
With almost two decades of swooning fans with his classic R&B tracks, Mario is back with his new EP Closer To Mars. The singer, dancer, writer, model, and entrepreneur is known for his hit singles “Let Me Love You” and “Just A Friend,” but Mario continues to grow as an artist with his new EP. In Latin, Mario’s name translates to “Mars: God of War, the planet.” With this in mind, he began thinking conceptually about where we are, what’s happening on earth, how we have to get out of here, and what the planet is going to be like in 20 years. Arcángel – Los Favoritos 2 (Rimas Entertainment)
Reggaeton superstar Arcángel is back with his new full-length album, Los Favoritos 2. The new album is a sequel to Arcángel’s 2015 album, Los Favoritos, which was the first collaborative studio album the Reggaeton artist recorded alongside his producer DJ Luian. As with the 2015 Los Favoritos, the new album brings together some of the most popular Latin artists of the time for a star-studded project. Los Favoritos 2 sees collaborations from some of the hottest Latin stars of the moment, including Ozuna, Myke Towers, Rauw Alejandro, Wisin & Yandel, Sech, and more.
