Mekdes – Greedy (Mermaid Records)
Danish P3 Talentet winner Mekdes presents her debut album Greedy, out now via Mermaid Records. Greedy is an epic release showcasing Mekdes’ outstanding talent not only as a singer, but also songwriter and producer. The infectious pop-driven title track “Greedy” reached top 40 in airplay charts. Mekdes was the first Danish artist to be admitted into Spotify Oyster, a program in which a select few, talented Scandi-artists are given access to Spotify’s recording facilities and engineers. Listen to Greedy available on all streaming platforms.
Kyle Banks – Uncommon (Red Bull)
After a year filled with career milestones in 2021, rising R&B artist Kyle Banks is kicking off the new year with the release of his debut project on Red Bull Records, Uncommon. The 9-track EP features previously released singles “Bad Bih,” “On Me” (ft. Bino Rideaux), and fan-favorite “Bogus” (ft. BlueBucksClan). The release comes on the heels of Banks winning over audiences on the sold-out TwoFR Tour with Kalan.FrFr and Haiti Babii. “Uncommon is the perfect word for my life,” Kyle said. “Growing up, I never understood a lot of things that happened, but I always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Even places that other people couldn’t reach. I was talking to my mom one day and she said I was “uncommon” and I knew it was the perfect word. When I was thinking about a title for the project, it just stuck.”
Kharfi – AQUARIUM (Kharfi)
Italian artist Kharfi entered the industry dabbling in downtempo experimental releases but has since found his niche pop-house sound with bouncy bass and strong lyricism. Kicking off his independent artist career at the end of 2020 and releasing his second EP “24” on his 24th birthday at the beginning of 2021, Kharfi is considered nothing close to a novice. The electronic music producer has forged a twilight zone between genres and kicks off the new year with his new 12-track album, AQUARIUM.
