Stokley – Sankofa (Flyte Tyme Recs)
GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist Stokley releases his second solo album, Sankofa. Rising to stardom as the lead singer of hit R&B band Mint Condition, Stokley is now focusing on a solo career. Following the release of his debut solo album in 2017, Stokley continues to reinforce his presence as a solo artist. He tells Rated R&B, “Everything [in this album] is much deeper. It’s more personal. It’s more intimate. Not that the other one wasn’t, but that was to get my feet wet and get people used to the idea of who I am. They’re used to seeing me with a group.” Sankofa includes star studded features with H.E.R., Snoop Dogg, Wale, Shakespeare!, The Bonfyre, and KiDi.
The Northern Belle – The Women In Me (Jansen)
Oslo-based group The Northern Belle present their new album The Women in Me, out now on Die With Your Boots On Records. The ‘Nordicana’ group has earned widespread media coverage and praise, Popmatters even saying, “One of Americana’s biggest head-turners in 2020 hails from Norway.” The Women in Me features several incredible artists, including Orions Belte, Siv Jakobsen, Darling West, Malin Pettersen, Ida Jenshus, Louien and Signe Marie Rustad. The new album includes beautiful covers of John Prine and Sufjan Stevens, originals, as well as five brand new songs written by frontwoman Stine Andreassen.
Gallagher – Sicariato (Sucream)
Italian rapper and artist Gallagher, whose real name is Gabriele Magi, made a name for himself in the Roman rap scene with diss tracks and rhyme challenges. Gallagher returns with his new album Sicariato (Sucream), a twelve-track album featuring some of the biggest young artists on the Spanish and Latin scene, including La Zowi of Spain and Duki of Argentina.
