Premios Graffiti Results Are In!

Premios Graffiti Results Are In!

The annual Premios Graffiti began in 2003 to highlight Uruguayan rock genre. Since its formation the awards have adapted to showcase the top talent across all genres within the national Uruguayan music industry. The Orchard is excited to congratulate our creators on their 21 wins!

Of those 21 wins, three can be attributed to the MMG rock group buitres. The group took home the award for Band of The Year, as well as Best Album and Best Rock/Blues Album for “Mecánica Popular”. buitres were instrumental in introducing a new era of Uruguayan rock in the mid-1980s. Since their formation, Buitres have released over 13 studio albums, three live albums, two documentaries and have toured extensively locally and abroad. In 2019 the group celebrated their 30th anniversary with massive arena performances and the release of their award-winning album “Mecánica Popular.”

Winner of two awards this year, Socio’s collaboration with Lucia Ferreira and Nico Grieco titled “En el Pozo” was named Best Song of the Year and Best Rock Song. The powerful anthem is packed with emotion and backed with explosive horns.

We are very proud to work alongside these award-winning artists and labels including MMG, Bizarro, Ayuí-Tacuabé, and Sondor. See The Orchard’s list of Graffiti winners below and find the complete list of winners here
