marissa putney, client manager, The OrchardIntroducing Marissa Putney, Client Manager, New York

I am a Drexel University graduate with a major in Music Business. Shortly after graduating college I received my first job in the Music Industry with RED Distribution as a Sales Coordinator. I’ve moved throughout RED for the past 5+ years in Sales, Retail Marketing, and finally Digital Sales/Marketing.

I also work with the non profit organization Studio Samuel Foundation overseeing social media marketing and international networking. I’m a fan of all types of music, but mainly listen to Metal, Hardcore, and Rock. I like going to shows and being with my dogs.

Abe Schwartz, Film/TV Coordinator at The OrchardIntroducing Abe Schwartz, Film/TV Coordinator

I have been working in entertainment since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2010. After cutting my teeth in the Motion Picture Lit department at William Morris Endeavor in L.A. (many horror stories), I moved back to New York to join the marketing agency DDCD & Partners where I produced a wide range of video projects for clients including American Express, Chrysler, IMG College and AM General. In addition, the last six months have consisted of the release of a comedic web series (CRASHERS) and the completion of a feature length documentary (WEB).

I have a deep passion for movies of all shapes and sizes. You may catch me at the next Noah Baumbach feature or waiting in line for Iron Man 3. In my free time, I love to play pickup basketball with friends and get on the golf course whenever possible.

I’m so pleased to be a part of this company and excited to work with everyone.

Welcome, Mike!

mike drakeIntroducing Mike Drake, VP of Engineering

I grew up in Lakeland, Florida, which — according to Wikipedia — is well known for citrus, cattle and phosphate mining.  I moved West to attend Stanford University and stayed in the Bay Area where I played guitar in bands (Oranger, The Aquamen, Overwhelming Colorfast, Hot Fog), started an indie record label (Amazing Grease Records) with Spiral Stairs from Pavement and built software (The Mckinley Group, Excite@Home). I helped found the SF-based digital music distributor IODA, where I was VP of Engineering.  Some of you may also know me as Bearded Guy #3 from The Orchard 2012 Holiday Party Battle of the Bands also-rans The Beardy Wigs.

I recently relocated to Brooklyn to work with everyone at The Orchard and experience something called “seasons.”

Joe VilettoIntroducing Joseph Viletto, PHP Developer

Hi guys, I’m Joe. I graduated from the Computer Science program at NYU last Spring and after working on music technology at Drip.fm with the fine folks at Ghostly International I’m excited to be joining The Orchard. I’m a passionate music lover and until recently hosted a weekly radio show on 89.1 FM where I covered everything from harsh noise, cumbia, forgotten 80′s synth acts and everything in between. I’m also a huge sports geek and am always willing to talk Xs and Os (or commiserate about the performance of the Eagles as need be). I also like to brew beer in my spare time and am always down to share my latest creations. Most importantly though, I love coding and solving interesting new technical challenges so I’m very stoked to be joining as The Orchard’s newest developer!

Antoine WilsonIntroducing Antoine Wilson, Assistant Manager, Data Analyst

What’s up? I’m Antoine and I’m hyped to join The Orchard team! I’m a native of Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Cornell University in 2009. What I love most is traveling. I spent my first two years after college teaching English in South Korea, and have traveled to 13 countries over the past 5 years. I’m always looking for new cultural adventures whether abroad or right here in NY. Besides travel, in my spare time I enjoy Muay Thai, biking, good food and of course, good music. In particular, I love classic Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Disco, Acid Jazz, and various forms of Electronica. If I had to pick a single favorite group, it’d probably be A Tribe Called Quest.
