SeanMacGahanIntroducing Sean MacGahan, QA Engineer, Catalog Squad

I grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, and graduated in 2013 from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Physics. I’ve been programming since I was 10, so software quickly became my professional focus after graduation. I joined a fashion startup, Chloe + Isabel, as an automation engineer/IT specialist/code gardener, and have since stuck with QA.

I am pretty experienced with the tenor saxophone, and even double majored in it during my freshman year, though I haven’t really practiced much since then. I also have experience with the bassoon and piano. I mostly listen to progressive rock and classical, though I’m open to pretty much anything. As far as hobbies go, I’m an avid beer snob, and have been homebrewing for the past year and a half.

Welcome, Ryan!

RyanParentIntroducing Ryan Parent, Coordinator, Client Operations

Hi everybody! My name is Ryan and I’m thrilled to be working at The Orchard!

I spent the past few months working part-time in the Video Services department on the Content team and have recently transitioned to the Operations department. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (Go PENS) where I went to school at Point Park University studying Cinema and Digital Arts. I had been working in the fashion industry for a few years doing clerical and graphic design work for a wholesale clothing company before moving to The Orchard in September.

My passions are music, film, anime, sci-fi, and especially video games! If you ever want to discuss boss tactics for Dark Souls or argue which Final Fantasy is the best (spoiler, it’s FF6) then feel free to drop me a line in the comments!

Welcome, Corinne!

CorinneFranceschiniIntroducing Corinne Franceschini, Client Relations Manager

Hello everybody! My name is Corinne and I am so excited to be joining The Orchard family! I was born and raised in the north of Italy, but I lived in France for the past 4 years, where I worked for Believe Digital in Paris. I landed in the music industry by chance (my first love is translation) and decided to stay as long as possible, and here I am, making my dream come true.

Musically speaking, I would say that I am quite eclectic, depending on the mood, but if I had to choose a genre I would definitely say Hip-Hop. When I am not working, I am a huge fan of TV series, my favourite one right now is ‘The Walking Dead.’ I love dogs (my best friend Chester is in the picture), reading books in different languages (I am still a translator, after all) and eating (I am Italian, of course I love food!). I can’t wait to get to know you all!

EmmaHawkinsIntroducing Emma Hawkins, Digital Advertising Coordinator

My name is Emma and I am so excited to be working at The Orchard as a Coordinator in the Digital Advertising department. A little bit about me: I’m originally from outside of Seattle, WA and moved here six years ago to attend NYU, where I studied English Literature and Art History. Before The Orchard, I worked in digital advertising sales at Tasting Table, an NYC based digital food magazine, and interned at a small book publisher in college. I’m generally obsessed with arts and entertainment and I can discuss David Bowie, Michelangelo and Oscar Wilde with equal enthusiasm. Recent music/film/TV obsessions include HOMESHAKE, D’angelo, FKA Twigs, SOHN, Broad City and anything directed by Richard Linklater. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and to start learning the ins and outs of The Orchard!

Welcome, Monisha!

MonishaGandhiIntroducing Monisha Gandhi, Client Manager, Film & TV

Hey there! I’m Monisha and it’s great to greet you! I’m super excited to be joining The Orchard Team and look forward to getting to know everyone. In the meantime, here’s a little bit about me…

I was born and raised in the suburbs just outside NYC, round about a little artsy village north of the Hudson, called Nyack. Post Nyack, I spent many years living in Buffalo, NY assisting in the management of one of the city’s most legendary indie music venues catering to such acts as, Moe, Jeru the Damaja, Every Time I Die, and Fishbone.

Upon my return to the New York Metropolitan Area, or as Buffalonians like to say, “Downstate,” I was offered the opportunity to continue working in support of my passion for Arts and Entertainment becoming a consultant to a number of film festivals in Venue and Programming Operations, starting and ending with the Tribeca Film Festival as Screenings Operations Manager.

But alas, home is where the heart is and after many years of living a nomadic lifestyle, I am ready and eager to settle down and make a home for myself both personally and professionally. Aside from work, you can find me in my kitchen cooking, in my car singing, in the park playing with my pitbull, at the bar shooting pool, on the phone making reservations, on the dance floor… well, you know, or simply on my couch watching Netflix.

Now that you know a little bit about me, please feel free to drop me a line in the comments to say hello!
