At just 17 years-old, Skylar has certainly proven herself as an independent artist with a distinct creative vision. Skylar has been on the road to success since the beginning of her career. Her powerhouse vocals that straddle the line between Pop and R&B, gained attention on Elvis Duran’s show and Billboard’s dance chart. Now, with the release of Redemption, she is making a name for herself as an independent singer who releases anthems that are “the truest representation of who [she is],” Stecker told Refinery29.
